Dress transformed into a scarf

....a funky neck scarf!

Leopard print dress awaiting transformation....

Paula, my friend from work, happened to mention that she would really like a leopard print scarf. The previous night my sewing teacher, Carole, had given me a pattern for a neck ring. Neck rings are basically a tube of fabric which can be wrapped around the neck twice and make a really smart scarf. I offered to make Paula one as I was dying to try the pattern out. I tried to source some leopard print jersey material on the Internet but couldn’t find anything I liked enough. When I was out shopping I saw this great leopard print maxi dress in H&M and thought it would look great as a scarf. So tonight I set about transforming dress to scarf and I’m so pleased with it I want one!! Anyway no matter how tempted I am to intercept it I promise it will find it’s way to Paula’s desk tomorrow to brighten up her Monday morning.
