Dressed for Burns’ Night Supper

Tonight I’m in the bosom of my family enjoying my Burns’ Night Supper of haggis, tatties and neeps. Mum and Dad are round and Dad addressed the haggis before it was served in traditional Burns’ Night fashion. I have been looking forward to it all day and I wasn’t disappointed. We’re sat relaxing and having a coffee now and then I’ll be watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. I fully embraced my Scottish roots this morning choosing a vintage tartan skirt, black poloneck H&M and black waistcoat from Sainsbobs. My red ruffle shoes are from Top Shop, they’re a little high for work but worth the pain. Anyway signing off now and sending lots of love to our Scottish contingency up North x

That on your plate looks so much like a dish consisting of the heart, lungs, and liver of a sheep, minced with suet and oatmeal and seasoned with salt and pepper. I also recognise the mashed potatoes with a little nutmeg and Mashed Swede (also known as turnip with a little ginger) mmmmmmmmmmmm

It sure is, although I omitted the nutmeg and ginger. Will be making that addition next year x
